Colemans and Partners Pledge $20,000 to Help Local Food Security Through the Community Food Sharing Association
ST. JOHN’S, NL, March 15, 2024— Colemans is thrilled to announce a generous donation of $20,000 to the Community Food Sharing Association. This contribution marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the community and ensuring food security across the province.
In November 2023, Colemans launched the Hungry to Help Holiday Food Drive campaign, a charitable initiative designed to address the urgent need within the community. With local food banks, including the Community Food Sharing Association, experiencing a rise in demand, Colemans and participating Hungry to Help partners stepped up to make a difference. The initiative reflects Colemans’ core belief in the power of community and the importance of taking action to support those in need.
A Campaign of Compassion and Community Support
The Hungry to Help Holiday Food Drive ran from November 30 to December 27, engaging customers and staff in a collective effort to provide essential support to local food banks. Colemans stores across the province offered $10 food hampers, carefully curated to meet the critical needs identified by the Canadian Food Sharing Association. Colemans and participating Hungry to Help partners pledged to match each hamper donation dollar for dollar, culminating in a $20,000 donation to the Community Food Sharing Association.
This initiative not only provided direct food assistance to local charities in all communities served by Colemans but also underscored the vital role of financial support in sustaining the operations of food banks. Through the generosity of customers and the company’s matching contributions, Colemans has helped ensure that individuals and families facing hardship can access the nutritious food they desperately need.
